Ukrainian drones struck a pumping station on the Druzhba oil pipeline in the town of Unecha in Russia’s Bryansk region, halting oil deliveries to Hungary once again.

Robert Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian military’s Unmanned Systems Forces, confirmed the strike on his Telegram channel, where he wrote in Hungarian: “Ruszkik haza!” — “Russians, go home!”

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in a Facebook post on the morning of August 22 that oil deliveries through the Druzhba pipeline had once again been halted.

“This is yet another attack on our country’s energy security, another attempt to drag us into the war. It won’t work! We will continue to support efforts to achieve peace and to defend our national interests with all our strength,” he wrote.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said on the evening of August 21 that two drones had been shot down over the Bryansk region.

The Druzhba pipeline has come under repeated drone attacks in recent weeks. A strike on August 18 briefly disrupted oil supplies until they resumed two days later, and the Unecha pumping station was also targeted overnight on August 12. The pipeline delivers Russian oil not only to Hungary but also to Slovakia.
